2017 Woodlawn Speech Contest

The annual speech contest at Woodlawn Elementary, sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America, was held in Marla Isbell's 1st period class on Monday, March 20, 2017.

  • 26 students participated by presenting a speech on the topic of, "What does it take to be a Hero".

 

Guest judges were Angie Green, Eton Elementary Excel Teacher and Anthony Ross, Northwest Elementary Excel Teacher.

Susan Pierce, Woodlawn Excel teacher, was the time keeper and coordinator.

The winners were:

Rylen Huber - 3rd Place

Janna Baggett - 2nd Place

Erick Chavarria - 1st Place

 

Janna and Erick will next represent Woodlawn in the upcoming County Level Speech Contest.
